SIGMA Sandeep Kishan: This is the debut directorial film SIGMA, directed by Jason Sanjay, son of Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay, and is the current talk of the town regarding the upcoming films in South Indian cinema. The film is produced by Lyca Productions and promises to be an action-adventure drama and has already created quite a stir.
What stole the limelight recently, though, was the revelation that a Malayalam superstar was the first choice before the arrival of Sundeep Kishan into the fold.
As per reports from the industry, the initial story narration was done by Jason Sanjay for Dulquer Salmaan, who was immediately excited about the entire storyline concept. The buzz goes that Dulquer, who is typically picky about scripts, liked the idea very much and accepted the project during the first meeting itself.
Dulquer, however, had to exit from the project after showing interest, since shots were already packed into shooting and the timelines for production were very tight for the entire team. Thus, Jason had to hunt for another actor who could deliver the grueling action scenes and high-energy tone of the film.
After Dulquer’s departure, Sundeep Kishan was called to give voice to the leading role, and he said an immediate yes. The actor has a knack for giving gripping performances, alongside his physicality which is a perfect match for Jason’s vision. Sources say that Sundeep’s enthusiasm and commitment turned the film into a fresh spark, and it is currently nearing completion, with only one song remaining to be shot.

With this being Jason Sanjay’s debut film as a director and with Sundeep Kishan at its helm, SIGMA already stands out as one of the most awaited films of this year. It promises a surefire blockbuster in theatres as Vijay’s cinematic legacy, Lyca’s production scale, and a high-concept storyline all combine forces to instill in fans this hope.
