UIDAI Aadhaar App:
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has launched a new Aadhaar app that makes digital identity safer, smarter, and easier to use. With this new platform, people no longer need to carry their physical Aadhaar card everywhere. The app allows users to access their Aadhaar details securely on their smartphones, ensuring better privacy and convenience. It is available for download on Google Play Store and App Store.
The main goal behind the launch is to help citizens manage their Aadhaar identity easily while keeping their personal data safe. UIDAI has added several strong security features to prevent misuse and make the process completely digital.
The new Aadhaar app offers users a digital version of their Aadhaar card, reducing the need to keep paper or PDF copies. It also protects against data theft or forgery. People can link up to five family Aadhaar profiles on one mobile device, making it easier to manage details for everyone in the family.
Another useful feature is the biometric lock, which allows users to lock or unlock their biometric information anytime. This feature helps prevent unauthorized use of fingerprints or iris data. The app also comes with a QR code option, making verification simple and fast. For example, when a hotel or shop needs Aadhaar verification, users can just show the QR code instead of sharing physical details.
The app instantly reflects any update made to your Aadhaar profile. So if you change your address or mobile number, it will automatically appear on the app.
To use the app, download it from the Play Store or App Store. Then select your language, enter your Aadhaar-linked mobile number, verify with OTP, and set a six-digit password. Once registration is done, your digital Aadhaar is ready for use anywhere, anytime.
The difference between mAadhaar and the new app is clear. While mAadhaar offers multiple online services like ordering PVC cards or updating data, the new app mainly focuses on secure access, faster performance and privacy protection.
With this launch, UIDAI takes another big step toward a digitally secure India, giving citizens full control over their identity in one trusted app.
