Summer In Bethlehem 4K Re-release: Among the most beloved emotional classics in Malayalam cinema, Summer in Bethlehem will reopen in theaters after 27 years. With all the warmth and emotional depth, it will all recreate the enchantment it once carried at the box office. The announcement of the day December 12, 2025 releases the floodgates of expectancy among followers who have been eagerly awaiting the release information.
Perhaps among the most unforgettable Malayalam language films to come out in 1998 is Summer in Bethlehem. Under the banner of Koker’s Films, Ranjith wrote the narrative for the movie, directed by Sibi Malayil and produced by Ziad Koker. With Mohanlal appearing in a particularly remarkable cameo that stole the show, Manju Warrier, Suresh Gopi, Jayaram, and Kalabhavan Mani were the main characters of the movie.
It earned its place as a perennial in the hearts of all generations by deftly fusing subtle comedy with sadness against a rich background of friendship, love, and heartbreak.
Under High Studios for the 4K digital remastering, Koker’s Films, Anjana Talkies, and Everyday Films will collaborate to show it inside theatres. While L. Bhoominathan edited the film, Vidyasagar wrote music for songs still ringing in Malayali hearts, with Girish Puthenchery penning lyrics. Sanjeev Shankar photographed the movie.
