Kaantha Cast Remuneration: Kaantha, which opened on November 14, 2025, was a joint collaboration of two entrancing actors of South India, Dulquer Salmaan, and Rana Daggubati. The historical drama was directed by Selvamani Selvaraj, bringing together elements of cinema-within-cinema, a murder mystery, and layered emotional conflict. As the two lead actors also take on the responsibility of producers, the question of who falls higher in terms of earnings becomes more complicated than the simple salary comparison.
In interesting partnership Spirit Media (Rana Daggubati) and Wayfarer Films (Dulquer Salmaan) co-produce the film. This unique situation means that the two leads besides being actors are also financial stakeholders sharing the distribution, satellite, and OTT profits. They are further complemented by Samuthirakani, Bhagyashri Borse, and a group of character actors who enhance the landscape of the film industry during the 1950s.
Dulquer Salmaan
In the last few years, his market value has gradually increased with Sita Ramam and Lucky Baskhar. His general remuneration is in the range of ₹ 8-10 crores, wherein for Kaantha, he followed the structure he maintained for other films according to industry sources in which he took a meager acting fee, along with a larger share of profits for co-producing it.
Rana Daggubati
Rana enjoys an acting remuneration of ₹6–8 crore, primarily due to the success of Baahubali and The Ghazi Attack, among other pan-Indian films. However, he will truly make it back from backend earnings as he is the stronger stakeholder from the production side through Spirit Media if the film garners a significant box office collection internationally.
Samuthirakani and Bhagyashri Borse reportedly come in the range of ₹50 lakh–₹1 crore, in accordance with their market range as well as screen time.
In case of a comparison between pure acting fees, then Dulquer Salmaan is certainly a cut above Rana.
But with the profit-sharing terms and the share of the producer included, the total possible earnings for Rana Daggubati might catch up with or even surpass those of Dulquer, especially given the performance of the film right from Day 1, which started with ₹12-15 crore net.

Dulquer probably took home the bigger acting paycheck, but Rana’s production profits may ultimately put him ahead. With Kaantha’s performance still unfolding, both stars stand to benefit substantially from a successful box-office run.
