Aadhaar users have a new update. UIDAI introduced a new Aadhaar app to help people store and share their Aadhaar details in a safe digital form. The app works on both Android and iPhone devices. It gives a simple and secure way to access Aadhaar without carrying a physical card.

The new Aadhaar app offers a full paperless experience. Users can store their Aadhaar details inside the phone. Families can save Aadhaar details of all members on one device. The app uses face authentication for login. This setup gives strong security for every user.

Controlled Sharing of Aadhaar Data

The app gives an option to share only selected Aadhaar information. Users can send only the needed details during verification. This also shows the history of when and where Aadhaar was last used. People can lock and unlock biometrics for safety.

Not a Replacement for mAadhaar

UIDAI confirmed that this app is not a replacement for the mAadhaar app. Services like downloading the Aadhaar digital card, ordering PVC cards, and mobile or email verification work only on mAadhaar. The new Aadhaar app is only for safe storage and sharing of  data.

How to Use the New App

The app is available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Users can log in with the mobile number linked to Aadhaar. OTP and face authentication are part of the login process. After login, users can set a PIN for extra protection. Officials believe this will make Aadhaar use easy and secure for all.So it is most advisable to download this to enjoy the best services.It improves security and makes access simple on any device.
