A quite harmless chat on the talk show hosted by Kajol and Twinkle Khanna has unexpectedly put Vicky Kaushal on the stage of an age controversy. During the episode, Vicky spoke about a childhood memory in which he wished to meet Hrithik Roshan when Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai had already released. His father was working with Hrithik at that time, and Vicky was in tenth standard that year when the movie hit theaters.
By January 2000, the film was released. Because students are mostly 15 or 16 in tenth grade, quick math puts Vicky’s birth year at around 1984. The legal document, however, states the year of his birth as 1988 and thus creates a discrepancy of four years that astonished all fans.
It didn’t take long for users online to start analyzing Vicky’s claim, as many attempted to corroborate the dates with their experience. One netizen commented that Vicky was in their engineering batch at RGIT during 2006 to 2010, adding that they were born in 1988-implying that there were of the same age during college years. The twist only added to the mystery, for, by birthdate only, Vicky would be much older than his classmates.
Another user tried to offer a practical explanation. They shared their own school timeline, showing how early admissions, skipping nursery classes, or accelerated progress might easily lead to a young finishing age. Such variations, according to them, could change educational time lines enough to make Vicky’s statement plausible.
The stir has created quite a lively debate with many amused at the idea of Vicky inadvertently exposing what he might not have intended. It would be captivating for fans whether it was a slip of memory, or a hint of his true age, but fans seem to be entertained rather than troubled. For the time being, the discussion carries forward, and Vicky Kaushal remains unfazed, maybe rather amused, by the arguments revolving around him.
