Prithviraj Sukumaran: The Malayalam movie business is increasingly re-releasing renowned and classic movies. Movies that once made waves, and even those that first passed unnoticed but got recognition with time, are returning to cinemas. Among film enthusiasts, the news of the re-release of the superhit Summer in Bethlehem has piquancy. Amid this revived interest, Prithviraj Sukumaran has said he wants to see one of his own movies get back on the big screen.
Prithviraj names his most special movie, Vargam:
Prithviraj was queried during the Vilayath Buddha trailer debut event if he had any personal preference for a re-release. The inquiry was straightforward: “If one of your movies could be re-released, which would it be?” With heartfelt emotion, the actor answered that actors automatically have love for all of their movies. For him, though, one title stands apart.
Prithviraj declared, “Many movies lie close to my heart.” However, given how it was created and what it meant to me, Vargam is the movie I would want to see re-released. Fans who have long valued the film’s harsh narrative and passionate performances quickly took interest in his response.
