During an interview, the Thiruchitrambalam actress Nithya openly criticized the film industry and called it ‘Inhumane’. The actress shared her worst experience on sets. In a recent interview, the national award winner Nithya Menen candidly opened up about an on-set incident that left her in shock. Talking about the incident the Idly Kadai actress openly revealed her period conversation with a male director. While filming for her film Pyscho which made its theatrical debut in 2020 the actress encountered an issue. The film was directed by Mysskin, Pyscho stars Nithya Menen in the lead role.

One day while shooting she got her period, and the period cramps were unbearable. That left the actress with no option but to talk to the director. revealing that she had menstruation conversation with a male director said, “So, for the first time, I told a male director that I have my period. He asked if it was my first day. That’s when I felt so understood, so compassionate. He said, ‘You can rest. Don’t do anything. You finish this and go up.”


Harsh Reality Of the Film Industry

In the same interview, Thiruchitrambalam actress opens up about the horrifying experiences on sets of filming. Great name and fame comes with great effort, same way the actors also go through lot of struggles. The national award-winning actress Nithya revealed one such situation. The actress said, “There is a slight level of inhumanity in films. No matter how sick you are, how hard it may be, you are expected to do something and come to the shooting. That’s all. We get used to that. Whatever happens, we have to struggle.”
