IT Raids on Hyderabad Restaurants: The Income Tax Investigation Wing in Hyderabad carried out large-scale raids on Tuesday at three of the city’s most well-known biryani restaurant chains, Pista House, Shah Ghouse, and the Mehfil Group. These eateries are among the most popular food brands in Hyderabad, attracting thousands of customers every day.
According to officials, IT teams searched around 30 locations, including offices, warehouses, and the residences of the owners and directors of these hotel groups. The raids began early in the morning and continued throughout the day.
The individuals under investigation include:
– Mehfil Group: Mohammed Mubeen Pasha
– Pista House: Mohammed Abdul
– Shah Ghouse: Mohammad Rabbani
Officials suspect these groups are involved in large-scale tax evasion, with sales worth several crores reportedly not being disclosed. Some outlets are believed to have carried out large cash transactions without proper records.
