Prime Minister Narendra Modi proclaimed India’s presence at the G20 Summit in South Africa. 1. Global Digital Public Infrastructure-DPI partnership
PM Modi reiterated India’s commitment to sharing its successful digital ecosystem, including UPI, DigiLocker, and Aadhaar-based services with partner nations, and proposed a global DPI partnership to help countries develop safe, low-cost, and scalable digital systems. The initiative is intended to reduce technological disparity and increase global financial inclusion.
2. Green Development Pact for a Sustainable Future
Calling it an international urgency of climate action, Modi proposed a global pact that encourages countries to accelerate adoption of renewable energy, green financing, and establishment of climate-resilient infrastructure. India also reiterated its own achievements in expanding solar energy and called for equitable climate responsibility without burdening developing nations.
3. Global Supply Chain Security and Resilience Initiative
In the wake of the pandemic-disruptions as well as geostrategic tensions, PM Modi has espoused an idea of a cooperative framework that will energize global supply chains to be more reliable. The proposal addresses diversified supply chains, transparent trade practices, and partnerships that protect critical sectors-from food and pharmaceuticals to energy.
