Car Catches Fire on ORR: Driver Burnt Alive in Fatal Crash

Shamirpet Car Accident: Road accidents have become so frequent these days that people are losing sleep. Many are now scared to even step out and travel on the roads. Almost every day, we hear about a new mishap somewhere. One such horrific accident was reported recently on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) in Hyderabad.

A major accident took place on the Shamirpet stretch of the ORR. An EcoSport car heading towards Leonio Restaurant suddenly caught fire. The driver could not escape as the flames spread quickly, and he was burned alive inside the vehicle. The incident happened while he was travelling from Shamirpet to Keesara. The tragedy occurred on Monday morning. Since the ORR is usually busy, the accident led to a massive traffic jam. Police reached the spot soon after receiving the alert and began rescue operations. The driver’s body was completely burnt, leaving only skeletal remains. People were shocked after seeing the images from the scene, which show how severe the accident was.

The car’s registration number was also destroyed in the fire. Police are now trying to identify the victim. They are checking footage from the ORR toll plaza and CCTV cameras at Leonio Restaurant. Further details will be released once the vehicle owner is identified.

Today early morning, an Ertiga car crashed into shops and commercial complexes near Select Theatre. The vehicle lost control while travelling from Machcha Bollaram towards Select Theatre. Police suspect the driver was under the influence of alcohol. The car was completely crushed in the accident. The driver suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital. Alwal police reached the accident spot. Several shops were damaged, but there was no loss of life as no one was present there at the time.
