Ibomma Ravi Arrest Mystery: In the past few weeks, the arrest of Ibomma Ravi turned out to be among the hot topics of discussion. While some speculated that his arrest was caused by personal matters or a marriage-oriented issue, the truth turned out to be entirely different. According to the fresh reports that are rolling in, it was not a family function or a wedding tip-off that revealed his whereabouts but a friend who unwittingly became the much-needed link for the police.
For days on end, police had been trying to gather critical information about an illegal streaming network that Ravi was allegedly connected to. While in police custody, he is said to have provided no substantive information regarding the running of the whole affairs or about who the people behind the platforms are. With his custody apparently coming to an end today, the officers are expected to take him back to court with an extension application, with the hope that he would cooperate more.
Meanwhile, the police were monitoring Ravi’s movements and communications during the time this investigation was going on. That is where things took a weird turn.
Ravi had recently gone to Hyderabad and called a very close friend over for an informal chat. He sent the friend a casual message asking him to meet him at a given flat. Unknown to him, the police had gotten hold of that friend’s contact number during monitoring operations in the past.
The moment he sent that message was the moment all certainty had been conveyed to the police. With such confirmation, the officers moved immediately into action. With minimal fuss or unwanted attention, they proceeded to that flat and arrested him on the spot.
Ravi’s arrest had nothing to do with marriage or a personal ceremony, as was being circulated. It was a blunder-simple and yet very critical. He sent a message to someone already under scanner and by that communication, investigators were able to identify his location with downright certainty.
