Five days have gone down the line in the police lock-up of mean lull for Ibomma Ravi. And it seems all will not be brought to this end, but only with the entry of some light into the convoluted process of law. That has nearly swallowed the steep case. In the contrary of all other spreading rumors, Ravi’s lawyer, Srinath, would state that the accused fully cooperated with the police while they detained him. This is not intended to inflame rumors, but rather for the sake of transparency in the case.
Presently, there are five cases involving Ravi. However, custodial remand has been granted for one case only. The PT warrants for the other four cases are being worked upon aggressively by the authorities. And all these matters have been garnished with fiery media coverage. By saying this, Srinath confirmed that these actions are standard procedure and that Ravi duly complied with all requirements.
Bail Petition Krupakan in Progress
Along with the custody proceedings, a bail petition had been filed by Ravi’s legal team, which will be heard by the court tomorrow. The advocate clarified that his petition includes all incidents concerning Ravi’s cooperation and each case. He is convinced that all of them will be put forth before the court reaches a conclusion regarding the bail application.
Correcting Misunderstanding
According to his lawyer, reports that Ravi was uncooperative or evasive while in custody are baseless. Such incorrect information, in the opinion of Srinath, is enough to unnecessarily heighten public anxiety and potentially influence how the people view the legal process. Verified information from recognized sources should thus be public and media channels, according to the advocate.
