Rajendra Prasad Comments on Brahmanandam:
A new controversy has started in Tollywood after senior actor Rajendra Prasad made unexpected comments about legendary comedian Brahmanandam. The incident happened at the ‘Sa Kutumbanam’ movie event, where both actors were present. After Brahmanandam finished his speech, Rajendra Prasad took the mic and spoke in a way that shocked everyone.
He began in a friendly manner, saying, “Padma Shri award winner Brahmanandam garu spoke first… after all, we are your students.” But suddenly, he added, “Nuvvu musali mu koduku”, which sounded harsh and disrespectful. Brahmanandam immediately asked, “Who?”, and Rajendra Prasad replied, “It’s Me”, trying to cover it up as a joke. But the video had already gone viral on social media.
Many netizens felt that a senior actor like Rajendra Prasad should not use such words in public. They criticised his behaviour, saying he often makes similar comments at events. Over the last few years, Rajendra Prasad has faced backlash several times for using rude or uncomfortable language on stage.
Previously, at other functions, he made bold comments about cricketer David Warner and comedian Ali. At an NTR Award event, he even scolded the audience by saying, “Why are you not clapping? Has your brain stopped working?” His tone and choice of words often become a topic of debate.
Some industry members said he might be going through emotional stress, while others believe he should be more careful while speaking in public. Even when he apologised earlier and promised, “I will be careful and will not speak like this again,” his behaviour did not change much.
Now, with the new comment on Brahmanandam, discussions have started again. Many fans are demanding that event organisers stop inviting him to public functions if he continues to talk this way. Others feel he should give a clear explanation to avoid further misunderstanding.
It is now a big topic in film circles whether Rajendra Prasad will respond, or whether this controversy will become even bigger in the coming days.
