Cyanide Mohan Case: Mammootty Explains the Alleged Link to Kalamkaval

Cyanide Mohan Case: Among the very few movies that have sparked so much interest among moviegoers, the release of Kalamkaval is keenly anticipated in Malayalam cinema. This presents Mammootty another chance to team with a first-time director; therefore, there are high hopes for its look and performance. One more highlight is Vinayakan, an actor, being given a prominent role alongside the megastar.

Mammootty Company, meanwhile, has posted an interview on its YouTube channel where the actor answers one of the burning questions in viewers’ minds: Is Kalamkaval a spin-off from or loosely inspired by the much-dreaded Cyanide Mohan case?

“There Is No Link to Cyanide Mohan Case,” confirms Mammootty.

Mammootty quickly dispelled such ideas. “This has nothing to do with Cyanide Mohan’s case. Cyanide is employed in the movie; it is correct—but it is not his narrative.

He made it clear that while the character in question could seem to resemble someone from real life, Kalamkaval definitely does not continue to produce a biopic.
“The narrative blends actual life inspiration with imaginative evolution. Writers call on a range of influences,” said Mammootty.

Director Jithin K Jose should start well.

Debutante Jithin K Jose, who first drew attention for writing the narrative of Dulquer Salmaan’s smash movie Kurup, directs the movie. Promising a gritty and nuanced storytelling experience, Kalamkaval is marketed as a crime drama.

Jishnu Sreekumar and Jithin K Jose’s screenplay. Wayfarer Films distributes the movie made under Mammootty Kampany in Kerala. Mammootty will return to the big screen after a hiatus of eight months with the very much awaited film.

Music Release and Certification

Kalamkaval has been given a U/A 16+ Certification and has finished its censure procedures. On several sites like Spotify, YouTube Music, and Prime Music, the creators have released the movie’s five-track original soundtrack, which includes the already famous “Nila Kaayum.”

Scheduled grand release on December 5, the film has expectations among Malayalam film fans and creators that have reached enormous heights.
