Anand Deverakonda’s upcoming film Takshakudu is creating strong buzz even before its release. The movie is skipping a theatrical release and will stream directly on Netflix. What makes it even more special is that Netflix has decided to release it in 30 different languages across several countries. This surprising update was revealed by the film’s producer Nagavamsi, and it has caught everyone’s attention.
During the title glimpse launch of another movie produced by him, Nagavamsi spoke about Takshakudu. He explained why the team selected an OTT release instead of theatres. According to him, some movies are made for theatres, while some stories reach a larger audience through OTT platforms. Since Takshakudu has a universal plot, Netflix wanted to present it globally in multiple languages.
The film stars Anand Deverakonda in the lead role. This is his second direct OTT release after Middle Class Melodies, which received a warm response on Amazon Prime Video. Interestingly, Takshakudu is also directed by Vinod Anantoju, who earlier worked with Anand on Middle Class Melodies. The team has chosen a unique and powerful title for the film, adding more curiosity.
Netflix recently released a poster of Takshakudu. In the poster, Anand appears in an intense and never-seen-before look. He is shown holding a burning gun, which hints at a deep emotional or action-driven storyline. The caption on the poster reads, “In the history of a hunter, even deer calves can be culprits,” creating more mystery around the plot. Early discussions suggest that the movie might be a revenge drama with an interesting twist.
Fans are also excited because Anand has been choosing meaningful scripts. His last collaboration with Vinod Anantoju worked well with audiences, and people expect the same magic this time too. As of now, Netflix has not announced the streaming date, but the platform has confirmed that the film will arrive soon.
With a rare 30-language release and a gripping first look, Takshakudu is already creating a new record for Telugu cinema. Many viewers are eagerly waiting to watch what this unique story offers when it premieres on Netflix.
