Indigo Flights Cancelled: One of IndiGo Airlines’ greatest operational disruptions in recent memory has left thousands of travelers stranded across the nation due to extensive delays and cancellations. More than 100 flights are expected to be cancelled today, with IndiGo officials summoned by the DGCA for an afternoon meeting. The airline is probably going to provide the regulator with a crisis-mitigation strategy.

An estimated 250 to 300 flights have been canceled over the last two days, impacting major airports and causing long lines, uncertainty, and growing passenger annoyance.

Indigo Airlines Response:

On Thursday, IndiGo issued a public apology, expressing regret for the large-scale difficulty caused to passengers. The airline said the cancellations and delays were sparked by a mix of “unexpected operational challenges” that cumulatively threw its network under extreme strain.

According to the airline, minor technological difficulties, winter schedule adjustments, severe weather conditions, heavy airport congestion, and new crew rostering requirements all contributed to the delays. According to IndiGo, the combination of these elements led to a degree of pressure that it “could not have anticipated.”

IndiGo has implemented calibrated schedule adjustments over the next 48 hours to stabilize its operations. The airline said these interim adjustments will assist in restoring punctuality and prevent future inconvenience. Whenever feasible, affected travelers are provided with alternate travel choices, such as rebooked flights or reimbursements. IndiGo stated that it is making efforts to guarantee that its network resumes regular operations as soon as possible.
