Fans of Nandamuri Balakrishna have received two shocking updates within just one day. On the previous day, the makers of Akhanda 2 cancelled the paid premiere shows that were planned for the evening. Many fans were confused and upset because the premiere tickets were sold out within minutes. Now, a bigger update has arrived — the film’s official release date has also been postponed.

The production team shared a message on social media saying, “With a heavy heart, we regret to inform you that Akhanda 2 will not be releasing as scheduled due to unavoidable circumstances.” They added that they understand the disappointment of fans and movie lovers who have been waiting for this action drama. The team apologised and said they are working continuously to resolve the issues as fast as possible. A new release date will be announced only after the financial problems are cleared.

Akhanda 2 created huge expectations because Balakrishna and director Boyapati Srinu delivered big hits earlier, including Simha, Legend, and Akhanda. Because of this strong history, the audience was eagerly waiting for the sequel. The film was planned for a December 5 release, and paid premieres were scheduled a day before. However, all plans changed suddenly when the team cancelled the premieres and then postponed the release.

On social media, many discussions are happening about the possible reasons behind the delay. Some posts claim that there are financial hurdles that must be resolved before the film can be released in all regions. Meanwhile few reports state that loss of Mahesh Babu Aagadu and Nenokkadine are reason behind conflict between Eros and 14 reels that lead to halt Akhanda 2 Release.

As the premieres were cancelled, ticket amounts are now being refunded to viewers. With the release date also postponed, fans are disappointed but still hopeful. Many are wishing that the team will soon overcome the problems and bring Akhanda 2 to theatres with a new confirmed date.
