IndiGo Offers Full Refunds Amid Ongoing Flight Cancellations

IndiGo Full Ticket Refunds: IndiGo has issued a heartfelt public apology to passengers after several days of major flight cancellations and delays across the country. The airline acknowledged that thousands of travellers faced long waits at airports, sudden cancellations, and very little information, leading to frustration and chaos.

In the detailed official statement, IndiGo said the last few days have been a serious operational crisis, and December 5th was expected to record the highest number of cancellations as the airline attempts to reset and stabilise its systems. As per the media reports, they have assured all the passengers that the team is working closely with the Ministry of Civil Aviation and DGCA to bring back normal operations by tomorrow.

What IndiGo Is Offering to Affected Passengers?
IndiGo listed several measures to support travellers affected between December 5 and December 15, 2025:

– Automatic refunds for all cancelled flights to the original mode of payment
– Full waiver on cancellations or rescheduling for the affected travel dates
– Thousands of hotel rooms and surface transport arranged for stranded passengers
– Food and snacks are being provided at airports
– Lounge access arranged for senior citizens wherever possible

The airline also requested passengers to check flight status before heading to the airport, emphasizing that they should not travel if their flight is already cancelled. IndiGo added that they have massively increased contact centre capacity to reduce long call waiting times. Passengers can also use IndiGo’s AI assistant “6Eskai” for flight updates, refunds, and rebooking.

“We Will Take Care of You,” Says IndiGo:
IndiGo reassured customers that improvement will be gradual but consistent. The airline said it is committed to earning back the trust passengers have shown over the past 19 years. The statement ended with a message of gratitude to passengers for their patience, understanding, and kindness during this difficult phase, along with a promise to provide continuous updates.
