Dileep Actress Assault Case Verdict: Final Judgement has been made in the actress-assault case. Dileep (the eighth accused) arrived at Advocate Raman Pillai’s office early this morning and thereafter with his team of lawyers was taken to court, having declined to answer any media questions; this just as the Honorable Judge Honey M. Varghese has arrived to render judgment today from the Ernakulam Principal Sessions Court (where the hearings are set to begin at 11 a.m.) at the time of writing.

Defence attorneys, including T.B. Mini (the attorney for the victim), are arriving at the courthouse with the other ten co-accused (all ten are required to be present at the time of judgment). Pulsar Suni (the first defendant), along with many co-accused, are already located inside the courthouse with their legal representatives. The outcome of the trial (which has been ongoing for six years) consists of the charges of gang rape, kidnapping, and criminal conspiracy against Dileep, which will allow the court to make its ruling in accordance with the State’s assertion.

• 1-6 defendants are proven guilty.( Sunil, alias ‘Pulsur Suni’, Martin Antony, B. Manikandan, V. P. Vijeesh, H. Salim alias Vadiwal Salim, Pradeep, Charlie Thomas)
• Not only rape, but also conspiracy has been proven.
•  Dileep is acquitted. There is no evidence of conspiracy.
• The prosecution failed to prove the conspiracy.
• 15th defendant Sarath Nair(Dileep’s friend) has also been acquitted.
• Accused 7-10 are acquitted.
