Kalyani Priyadarshan: With her blockbuster movie Lokah Chapter 1 Chandra, which is currently available for streaming on JioHotstar, Malayalam actress Kalyani Priyadarshan has proven that she is a talent here to stay. She plays the superhuman Chandra, also known as Neeli, in the movie. Can Chandra, however, fly? In a recent interview, Kalyani Priyadarshan discusses the scope of her character’s talent.

Kalyani About Chandra Character:
Kalyani plays Chandra in Dominic Arun’s 2025 Malayalam film Lokah Chapter 1 Chandra. During a recent interview, Kalyani was asked which of Lokah’s powers she would steal for her own life. She said, “I wanted to say flying, but technically, Chandra cannot fly. It was just in a dream,” Adding to that, she also stated, “The ability to like kickass.”

What additional superpowers did Chandra possess in Lokah, then? Chandra has never aged despite living for centuries. She is physically strong enough to attack and murder people. Her heart is her greatest vulnerability, though, and she would die if it were fatally damaged. Chandra, a creature of the night, is also unable to be exposed to sunlight.

About Chandra Character in Lokah:
The plot of Lokah centers on Chandra, an enigmatic woman who relocates to a new city and immediately captures the interest of three local boys. Sunny, one of them, follows her and is startled to discover that she is actually Kalliyankattu Neeli, a vampire who is feared in Keralan legend. The movie, which was co-written by Dominic Arun and Santhy Balachandran, then follows Neeli from her early years, retelling her story in a contemporary setting with a hint of the paranormal.
