Man Orders Gold Coin on Instamart, Receives Re 1 Coin Instead

Gold Coin Fraud Exposed: A shocking incident from Swiggy Instamart is now going viral on social media. A customer who ordered a gold coin has received a Re 1 coin instead of the gold coin. According to the viral video, the customer, Ankit Dewan, shared a video of the incident on his official X (formerly Twitter) account. This video has gained immediate attention from most of the viewers and has been widely spread on social media. The account holder with 1,658 followers posted the video and explained what actually happened.

According to Ankit’s post on X, he had ordered a gold coin from Instamart, but when it was delivered, the packet shockingly contained just a single Re 1 coin. He immediately checked the package, recorded a video, and refused to share the OTP with the delivery partner until he verified the contents. His quick thinking prevented a bigger issue and helped bring the matter to public notice.

In his post, Ankit also addressed people questioning why anyone would buy gold or silver from 10-minute delivery apps. He explained that many customers use these platforms because they can earn cashback and credit card rewards, which makes such purchases beneficial. “For all those intelligent individuals thinking why someone would buy gold on these apps, it’s simple: credit cards. You either don’t have them or don’t know how to use them for cashback,” he wrote.

As of now, Swiggy Instamart has not responded to this situation, and they haven’t given any official statement either. Looking at the comments, users are calling for strict verification of the seller and for better quality control in the future. This incident is a high alert for all online shoppers to always check the order before sharing their OTP, and also, shoppers are advised to check the products with proper video proof to claim their losses.
