Lottery Winners Goes Missing: A couple who won ₹1.5 crore in the Punjab State Lottery reportedly fled their home out of fear of being robbed, according to an unexpected occurrence that came to light in the Faridkot area of Punjab. The victors, Naseeb Kaur and her husband Ram Singh, are Saideke village agricultural laborers who earn a daily wage. After buying a ₹200 lottery ticket that won the top sum, their lives abruptly changed.

But rather than rejoicing, the pair quickly became terrified. The couple’s fear that they may be targeted by robbers or criminals seeking ransom grew as word of their enormous lottery prize quickly circulated throughout the community. Their dread was exacerbated by the unexpected attention, frequent visitors, and ongoing buzz in the area.

The couple took a shocking step after this incident; they started locking their home, turning off their phones, and discreetly relocating to a secret place out of concern for their own and their family’s safety. The authorities quickly became aware of their absence.

The pair was reassured that they had nothing to fear after the Faridkot police tracked down the incident on Tuesday. The police have personally contacted out and promised complete security, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Tarlochan Singh. He underlined that the department is dedicated to safeguarding the public and making sure the couple is safe following their unexpected windfall.
