Samantha Ruth Prabhu on Choosing Roles: Why Tamil Films Aren’t on Her Radar. Samantha Ruth Prabhu is currently busy with an exciting lineup of films. The actress’s career growth is exponential from playing girl next door to leading a cinema on her own. This South Indian beauty has done various films in Telugu, Tamil and some Malayalam films. Sam is even part of some of the most-watched series on OTT. Now, Samantha is leaning more towards Bollywood than the South film industry. And the actress completely vanished from Tamil films. Samantha now explains her decision to avoid Tamil films.
In a recent interview, The Citadel Honey Bunny actress was asked why she isn’t signing any Tamil films. The actress quickly responded by saying “It’s easy to do many films, yes. But I think I’m at the point of time in my life where every film must feel like it’s the last. It must have that kind of effect, that kind of…and if I don’t one hundred per cent believe in it, I can’t get myself to do it.” Samantha was last seen in Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal along with Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi.
Samantha will next be in Raktha Brahmand which is Raj and Dk directorial. So when asked about working experience with Raj and Dk, Samantha Ruth Prabhu said, “I think with The Family Man (Season 2), I was able to do something I’ve never done before, and again with Citadel: Honey Bunny, I’ve never done that, and Rakht Brahmand too. For good reason, they’re the ones who have spoiled me with wanting more and more of a challenge. When I go to work every day, it’s extremely fulfilling as an actor to give that much to a role. And if I don’t get that feeling every day, I don’t want to go to work.”
Sam was last seen in Citadel Honey Bunny along with Varun Dhawan. The south indian beauty will next be seen in Raj and Dk Raktha Brahmand, making it the third colloboration after Family Man season 2 and Citadel Honey Bunny.
