Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap’s daughter, Aaliyah Kashyap, married Shane Gregoire in an extravagant yet private event. Anurag has previously stated that the cost of the wedding was similar to what he would spend on his smaller flicks. He recently acknowledged that ‘he took on acting roles to meet the expenditures’ in an interview, acknowledging that it was difficult for him to finance such a lavish celebration as an independent director. He also mentioned how the wedding has made him feel more at ease.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Anurag Kashyap discussed his goals for 2025, which center on personal development and self-care. The director disclosed that he plans to take a hiatus from directing in order to rest, rejuvenate, and watch movies.
Thinking back on the previous year, he said it had been jam-packed with acting, filming, and the momentous occasion of his daughter’s wedding. Now that the wedding is over, Kashyap said he feels relieved and prepared to concentrate on taking care of his soul.
In a customary ceremony in Mumbai, Aaliyah Kashyap and her longtime partner Shane Gregoire exchanged vows. The pair was beaming with joy as they exchanged vows in front of their closest loved ones.
