Shah Rukh Khan Tower: In an amazing gesture of respect, Shahrukhz Danube—a commercial skyscraper named for Bollywood king Shah Rukh Khan—Dubai’s Danube Group has revealed. Khan joined Danube’s founder Rizwan Sajan in Mumbai to unveil the project during the launch event.
Danube claims this is the first tower in the globe given actor’s name.
Built along Dubai’s upscale Sheikh Zayed Road, Shahrukhz Danube is meant to be a 55–56 storey commercial structure.
Offering a premium business environment, the structure will have more than 40 amenities—including a helipad and swimming pool—spanning one million square feet.
The entrance will feature a Shah Rukh Khan statue in his trademark arms-wide-open pose, which will make for a remarkable photo area.
Shah Rukh Khan said great thanks at the unveiling ceremony. He claimed the honor reminded him of his late mother, who he felt would have been very proud.
He also offered his children a moving message: “Papa ka naam likha hai, dekho” (“Papa’s name is written here”).
He imitated his trademark “Don” walk, recited the well-known “Om Shanti Om” conversation, and danced to “Chaiyya Chaiyya” onstage to commemorate the event.
The tower’s projected price of ₹4,000 crore is meant to stay linked with Shah Rukh Khan forever; the contract gives naming rights for life.
To commemorate the actor’s legacy, construction should be finished in 2029.
