iBomma Warning to Police: Despite many complaints from film producers, the police were unable to arrest iBomma’s main team for a long time. But now, there has been a major breakthrough. Reports say that the police have detained the key iBomma administrator, Immadi Ravi. Here are the details.
iBomma Piracy Case
Earlier, Telugu producers requested Telangana Police to take strict action against the iBomma website because it was causing huge losses to movies. Many people were watching new films online instead of going to the theatres.
During this time, the iBomma team reportedly issued an open warning to the police. They claimed that if police tried to arrest them, they would “reveal information about many well-known people.”
Telangana Police Action:
Taking this threat seriously, Telangana Police continued to track the iBomma organizers. Recently, the case took a major turn with the arrest of Immadi Ravi, who was detained in Kukatpally. Ravi, who usually lives in the Caribbean islands, returned to Hyderabad from France yesterday. Police had advance information and arrested him with a planned operation. He is accused of uploading OTT and pirated movie content on the iBomma website.
Police sources say Ravi is separated from his wife and lives alone. They have also frozen ₹3 crore in his bank account. His arrest follows a complaint filed by Telugu film producers. Ravi earlier challenged the police, saying they could not catch him, but the police are now checking the servers for pirated content.

iBomma Ravi Warning to Police:
iBomma admin said, “Some people in the film industry are working hard to spread false propaganda against us. But we do not charge any registration fees or subscriptions. All the movies on our site can be watched for free. Heroes are being paid hundreds of crores of rupees in remuneration. Will they organize luxurious trips and put the burden of it on the common man?”
They also said, “We are not the reason for the losses of the film industry. The producers and the heroes are the reason for this. A large percentage of the film budget goes to the remuneration of the heroes. The budget is being increased tremendously in the name of shooting abroad. If the same is shot in India, the cost will be reduced. Why bother the audience by spending unnecessary expenses and trying to recover them? He who is not afraid of death is not afraid of anything. Wherever we are, we will continue to work for Indians, especially for Telugu people.”
