Gold and Silver Rates In India:
Gold and silver prices in India continued to rise on December 4, as global economic uncertainty increased demand for both metals. Experts say that investors are looking for safe options because the US economy is slowing down. There is also hope that the US Federal Reserve may cut interest rates soon. These expectations are pushing gold prices upward in the international market, and the effect is clearly seen in India.
According to GoodReturns, the price of 24-karat gold reached ₹1,30,590 for 10 grams on Thursday morning. This is ₹720 higher compared to the previous day. The rate of 22-karat gold also increased by ₹650 and touched ₹1,19,710 for 10 grams. After a slight fall earlier, gold has once again started moving upward strongly.
Silver prices also hit a new record. Because industries are buying more silver and supply is limited, the rate has reached its lifetime highest level. One kilogram of silver is now priced at ₹1,91,100 in many cities. Some southern cities like Chennai, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, and Kerala are showing even higher prices, touching ₹2,01,100 per kg.
Analysts say gold prices have already risen by about 40% this year, and the upward trend may continue next year as well. A new report from Goldman Sachs suggests that strong buying by central banks, slow US economic growth, and a weak dollar will continue to support higher gold demand. US President Donald Trump’s announcement about selecting a new Federal Reserve chief has also created hopes of a rate cut, which pushed gold prices even higher.
Silver, too, has risen sharply in the global market nearly 101% compared to last year mainly because of heavy demand from electronics and renewable-energy industries.
Gold and silver prices keep changing frequently. So people planning to buy should always check the latest rates before making any purchase
