Ritesh Agarwal, who was born into a Marwari business family in Kolkata, finished his education at the Sacred Heart School in Rayagada, Orissa. When he introduced Oravel Stays, a website like Airbnb, in 2011, his adventure officially began. According to the company’s annual report, OYO reported its first-ever profit after tax for the fiscal year 2023–2024, which came to Rs 229 crore.
