The film collected ₹11 crore net on Day 1 in India (Wednesday), among which ₹10.35 crore is from Tamil and ₹0.65 crore from Telugu. This remarkable opening would prove Dhanush’s strong pulling power in his home market, and the buzz meant that he had a positive word of mouth created prior to the release.
