Kantara Advance Bookings: In the recent past, hardly any film would have generated the kind of buzz that is now the hallmark of Kantara Chapter 1. Kantara (2022) became a blockbuster in Kannada and crossed regional barriers to become a pan-India cultural phenomenon. Like KGF, it contributed to putting Karnataka cinema on a global map. Expectations are the highest they have ever been, with the sequel being set for a worldwide release on 2nd October, 2025.
According to the major trade trackers, the film has had quite some impact at the box office even before its release. On the first day of advance bookings in India, the film earned nearly ₹4.83 crore gross on its first day, excluding block seats. With block seats, the figure is being reported at a staggering ₹8.2 crore. Clearly a testament to the level of pre-release hype.
Karnataka leads the charge with gross earnings of over ₹4.47 crore, from 1,24,000+ shows.
About ₹29.6 lakh is the Hindi collection, with good possibilities in some of the metro cities.
Malayalam showing good growth too: Over ₹4.3 lakh.
Telugu and Tamil havens are slow but can pick up speed closer to release.

Produced by one of the most sought-after production houses in South Indian cinema, Hombale Films. Kantara Chapter I will release in seven languages: Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, English and Bengali. Apparently, it has been in making for three long years, promising great cinema.
Kantara was appreciated for its unique amalgamation of folklore, spirituality, and raw storytelling. With advance bookings creating all the records, the expectations are sky-high. However, the real test would be on the day of the release. If positive reviews reflect the rage, then undoubtedly Kantara Chapter 1 releasing for dasara 2025 Will be one of the biggest blockbusters in 2025.
