Kantara Chapter 1 Surpasses Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari in Hindi?

Kantara Chapter 1 Surpasses Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari in Hindi?

This Dussehra has brought a clash few anticipated-It was a big star cast romantic comedy called Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, contrasted against the Kannada prequel, Kantara Chapter 1. Rishab Shetty arrives back home after his monumental success with the release of Kantara in 2022, and much anticipation looms on whether the Hindi-dubbed version can again enthrall the audiences somewhere in North India. Early trends seem to indicate that this Kannada drama is already crossing the advance sales figures of the Bollywood release.

Bollywood’s Festive Offerings

Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is a Shashank Khaitan-directed film that had a star cast of Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra, and Rohit Saraf. This is the only big Hindi release during the festive week, but collections are unimpressive. The advance ticket sale started four days before release. Just by midday Monday, the film managed to sell nearly 9,000 tickets across the country raking in revenue of close to ₹29 lakh. While healthy for a romantic comedy, such figures appear soft for a holiday opening.

Momentum Building for Kantara Chapter 1

Meanwhile, Kantara Chapter 1 is already creating some buzz even before the release of the film. The Hindi version alone crossed 11,000 tickets in advance bookings on the same Monday noon mark, raking in close to ₹33 lakh. This early lead is significant given fewer screens opened their advance bookings for the Kannada prequel than for the Bollywood romcom. Trade experts now predict that the momentum will just keep building further as more theaters add shows.

Why Kantara Has the Upper Hand

The original Kantara had become a cultural phenomenon in 2022 and made a rich ₹84 crore through its Hindi-dubbed release. That legacy brings along an immense curiosity on the prequel. The storytelling is rustic by the themes and with a strong following of Rishab Shetty. It reaches to urban and tier-2 audiences, putting it with a favorable outlook vis-a-vis its Bollywood rival.

Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari relies on star power and lighthearted romanticism for viewership. Whereas Kantara Chapter 1 appears to be a stronger contender at the Hindi box office this Dussehra. If early booking trends continue, Rishab Shetty’s prequel could comfortably surpass the Bollywood multi-starrer. Once again proving the pan-India pull of Kannada cinema.
