Kesari Chapter 2 Box Office Prediction: Akshay Kumar’s long-awaited Kesari Chapter 2 has finally been released, but the box office collection on the opening day has been poor. Although the initial Kesari had been a box office hit and cult favourite, the second part has failed to impress, with no effect, clocking a first-day box office collection of only ₹3 crore.
Trade analysts had predicted a good opening, remembering Akshay Kumar’s popularity and the film’s patriotic subject. But the film could not create any kind of buzz among audiences. Lack of good pre-release buzz, lack of suitable promotion activities, and mixed reactions could have been the reasons for its weak box office collection.
One of the reasons that Kesari Chapter 2 failed to be so successful is the strong competition from other releases. With a few high-cost movies occupying the screens, Kesari Chapter 2 has been trying hard to capture audience eyeballs. Moreover, the current box office situation is favouring high-content films with good word-of-mouth, and Kesari Chapter 2 has failed to do that.
Weekend collections will primarily decide whether the film can recover from its weak opening. If Kesari Chapter 2 garners good word of mouth with the audience, it can experience collection growth on Saturday and Sunday. However, if the trend continues, the film might not be able to register good total collections. Kesari 2’s fate will be revealed soon.
