Actress Sadha Breaks Down on Instagram: Here’s Why

Actress Sadha: Well-known to South Indian cinema lovers, actress Sadha has worked in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada films. She made her Telugu debut with Jayam, which became a massive success, instantly earning her a series of offers and recognition as a leading actress in the South within a short span.

In recent years, Sadha has stepped away from films and pursued her passion for wildlife photography. However, she recently made headlines for an emotional video she posted on Instagram, where she was seen crying and expressing deep distress over a recent Supreme Court order.

On Monday (August 11), the Supreme Court directed that all dogs in the national capital be moved to shelters within eight weeks, warning of severe consequences for those who attempt to obstruct the process. This decision reportedly follows a rabies case, but the verdict has sparked strong opposition from animal lovers and celebrities.

Expressing her anguish, Sadha said: “About 3 lakh dogs are being shifted from the city for a single rabies case — or they are being killed. How can the government create enough shelters for all these dogs in just eight weeks? It’s impossible. The reality is, they will kill them. Why didn’t the municipal authorities and government vaccinate them earlier? If funds had been allocated properly for the ABC (Animal Birth Control) program, this situation wouldn’t have arisen.”

She further added, “Some NGOs are doing everything they can to control the population of stray dogs and cats, and if they’re sick, we fund their treatment. But the government hasn’t spent a single rupee on them. Just thinking about the dogs on the streets breaks my heart. I don’t know what to do or how to protest. This verdict is killing me inside. Killing them is not right. Please withdraw it.”

Sadha’s emotional appeal has resonated with many, as several celebrities have already voiced their opposition to the court’s order.
