Alice in Borderland S3: All The Alice in borderland fans know that, Chishiya was the mind behind the madness, and the calm in chaos in the previous two seasons of the show. But now, Chishiya is missing. Netflix just dropped the official teaser for Alice in Borderland Season 3. Arisu is back. The Joker card appears. But one name is missing from the entire teaser — Shuntarō Chishiya.
Chishiya was last seen in Season 2, unexpectedly shot by Niragi. But he survived. He reappeared in the hospital scene after the meteor crash, waking up. So if he made it out… why is he not in Season 3’s teaser? Is Netflix hiding something? Or is this the end of Chishiya?
Some fans believe the meteor crash ending was a false awakening and Chishiya may still be inside Borderland, trapped or chosen for a secret mission by the Joker. Chishiya’s calm, almost emotionless logic could make him the perfect host. Was he chosen by the Joker to run the next set of games?
In the Retry manga sequel, death doesn’t always mean disappearance. Chishiya could return as a mental guide, memory, or part of Arisu’s next challenge.
Let’s break down the teaser. We see Banda, Arisu, Usagi… but zero trace of Chishiya. Could Netflix be saving his reveal for a final trailer drop? Interestingly, fans on Reddit noticed a silhouette in one frame — someone with Chishiya’s hair and coat style walking in the background. Coincidence? Or a hidden cameo?
Chishiya isn’t just a fan favourite, he’s the Sherlock Holmes of Borderland. His brain-over-bullets strategy gave us some of the best moments in the series. Season 3’s chaos will need logic, and Arisu can’t do it alone. If Chishiya’s out, Arisu might be walking into the Joker’s trap blind.
