Aryan Khan: The first glimpse of Aryan Khan’s first online series, The Ba***ds of Bollywood, has been released. It’s also really cinematic. The video includes Aryan’s narration and voiceover, in the vein of his father, superstar Shah Rukh Khan, and is intercut with teasers for the show. The son discusses vaar (attack) and displays some maar-dhaad (activity), but Khan Sr. spoke about pyaar (love).

First look at The Ba***ds of Bollywood:
Before a recognizable voice utters the well-known phrase, “Ek ladki this deewani si, ek ladke pe who marti this” (There was a mad girl, who was head over heels for this boy), the video begins with the characteristic violin song from Shah Rukh’s Mohabbatein. The show’s main actors, Lakshya and Sahher Bambba, are depicted in romantic settings. However, Aryan then shows up, turning the script on its head and declaring that the show is as chaotic and action-packed as it is romantic. Next, we see images of fights, nose injuries, and a little flash and glamour.

“Bollywood – jisse aapne saalon se pyaar bhi kiya aur vaar bhi kiya, main bhi wohi karunga, bohot saara pyaar,” Aryan states in the video. Aur thoda sa vaar. (You have both praised and disparaged Bollywood. I’ll follow suit, show it a lot of affection, and launch a small assault.

Aryan Khan writes and directs The Ba**ds of Bollywood*, while Gauri Khan produces it. Manav Chauhan and Bilal Siddiqi co-create and co-write the series. The cast includes Sahher, Lakshya, Gautami Kapoor, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Manish Chaudhari, Bobby Deol, and Vijayant Kohli.

The series presents a universe that feels both fascinating and grounded, stylized yet chaotic. The makers have not disclosed the release date, but Netflix plans to premiere it later this year. At the Next on Netflix event in Mumbai earlier this year, Shah Rukh Khan announced the show and revealed its title.
