Best Musical Love Stories to Stream on OTT as Saiyaara Trends

Best Musical Love Stories: Who would have imagined Saiyaara, directed by Mohit Suri of Aashiqui 2, would be a strong challenger at the box office? This is the first time a film starring debutants, in this case Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has received this kind of response since Hrithik Roshan’s 2000 debut, Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai.

Saiyaara, which was originally written as Aashiqui 3, is gradually gaining popularity among fans, largely because of its soundtrack. Prepare for a fun weekend if you enjoy similar Bollywood romantic musical films. You may watch these films on OTT Platforms:

Musical Love Stories in Hindi:

1. Rockstar:
Before Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor’s Aashiqui 2 joined the musical club, Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar was the hip new student. This was the tale of Jordan/Janardhan (Ranbir Kapoor), a fervent college student who pursued his affections for Heer (Nargis Fakhri) and ultimately encountered his lowest self in the process. In addition to discussing Heer and Jordan’s unfulfilled love, the movie examined music in all its forms, from Qawwali to pop, rock, and metal.

2. Phillauri:
Diljit Dosanjh and Anushka Sharma play a couple who were split up on their wedding day and have been looking for love ever since. The film masterfully tells their tragic story. The song Din Shagna Da is on most wedding playlists for a reason.

3. Zubaan:
The narrative of how a self-assured teenage Dilsher, who aspires to study music, ends up with a speech handicap and becomes a well-known singer is told in the underappreciated gem Zubaan, which stars Vicky Kaushal in the lead role. Director Mozez Singh also took home the Rising Director Award for Zubaan, the first mainstream Bollywood film to debut at Asia’s largest film festival, the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF).

4. Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai:
Every song in Hrithik Roshan and Ameesha Patel’s debut film, Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai had a backstory, from the title song’s confession of love to the hip dance moves set to Lucky Ali’s Ek Pal Ka Jeena. Because Hrithik’s father, Rakesh Roshan, was the film’s director and his uncle, Rajesh Roshan, was its music director, the audience was excited about this film. The film, which was based on Hrithik’s romance with his now-ex-wife Sussanne Khan, was a success for its Bollywood premiere in 2000.

5. Pardes:
Every song in Pardes has a story to tell about Ganga’s (Mahima Chaudhary) life before and after she became connected with Rajiv (Apurva Agnihotri) against her will, from Shah Rukh Khan’s Arjun recounting his unrequited love in Zara Tasveer Se to the revelation in Nahin Hona Tha. It’s a musical journey that examines the intricacies of life and love.
