December 2025 Movie Releases: Returning to screen is the much-awaited sequel to the blockbuster hit Akhanda, Akhanda 2: Thaandavam, which is directed by Boyapati Sreenu and explores deeper layers into Sanatana Dharma through a high-voltage action and divine scenario. The cast also comprises Samyukta, Aadi Pinisetty, and Harshaali Malhotra which are fresh energy boosters for the sequel.
Competing with it is Ranveer Singh’s high-octane spy thriller Dhurandhar directed by Aditya Dhar. Derived from true events of missions, the movie has Sanjay Dutt, Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal in lead roles to give an intense big-screen experience to the audience.

December 12 brings in the merry young guns to dazzle audiences.
Mowgli, an action-romance drama with Roshan Kanakala in the lead role, is directed by Sandeep Raj. And features Sakshi Sagar Madolkar in a prominent role. Alongside the release of Mowgli is Sahakutumbaanam, a family-oriented film featuring Ram Kiran and Megha Akash under the direction of Uday Sharma.
Fantasy, Emotion & Inspiration on Christmas Week (December 25)
Also coming on December 25 is Champion, starring Roshan (son of Srikanth). A sports drama woven with themes of football, love, and nationalism. Dandora, featuring Shivaji, Navdeep, Bindu Madhavi, and Rahul Ramakrishna, spices up the Christmas slate with a rustic Telangana flavor.

Ikkis is going to add some emotional weight to the day. Being the last film of the legendary Dharmendra, and it would be based on the life of Param Vir Chakra awardee Arun Khetrapal. Featuring Agastya Nanda in the lead role, which would be quite a high-profile release for Bollywood buffs.
