Raashii Khanna has been a star actress in both Telugu and Tamil cinema. She has now finally bagged a major role as the second female lead in Pawan Kalyan starrer Ustaad Bhagat Singh. While Raashii started her career with hit movies such as Oohalu Gusagusalade and Jai Lava Kusa. It soon paved way into a slew of underperformers like Pakka Commercial and Thank You. She auditioned in vain for a leading role in the film Ustaad Bhagat Singh back in 2023. But was fortunate enough to be brought back into the fold by the script team as the second heroine.

According to reports from the industry, Raashii is officially on board for the shoot, which resumed in June 2025. And starts filming in Hyderabad along with lead actress Sreeleela.

What to Expect from Her Role
While Sreeleela is the primary female lead, that is, she plays the role in line with the Samantha character for the Tamil superhit Theri, Raashii has been cast for the role that was originally conceived by Amy Jackson. While it is certainly not the central romantic interest, this part should give her considerable screen presence in the narrative.

Pawan Kalyan plays an IPS officer with a revenge mission to the plot. The film promises a fiery mix of action, emotional drama, and political undertones tailored to Pawan’s persona, with shooting strategies borrowed from the Tamil classic Theri.
