Actor Soubin Shahir, who has risen to fame as a star in the mega-hit Manjummel Boys, is seemingly now involved in a legal crisis. Reports from the media indicate that the Kerala High Court has denied Soubin permission to travel abroad for investigations in the Manjummel Boys fraud case.
According to sources from the court, Soubin had asks for flying abroad for personal and professional purposes. However, the bench did not approve that, which indicates that he has to be heard during inquiries regarding alleged financial irregularities in matters relating to the movie. This is apparently going to be a major setback for the actor who surely has some international work commitments.
Connected to Fraud Cases
The Manjummal Boys fraud case erupted after allegations of misappropriation of funds while making the film and during its distribution. The film has all the qualities- a gripping story and vast box office collections. Unquestionably, controversies inside the frame cloud much of its success. Currently, investigators are busy probing the money trail while several people associated with the film have been questioned.
Soubin Shahir was also dragged into the filth because the film belongs to him. Hence, travel restrictions were slapped on him until the clarification in the probe.
Effect on Career
The travel ban will hinder Soubin’s upcoming projects, especially international shoots and promotion tours. From Sudani from Nigeria to Android Kunjappan, he evolved into one of the beloved and most versatile actors of Malayalam cinema. Given the legal hassles though, such professional commitments will largely lie idle for now.

The case would still remind how real life easily overshadows the glamor of films, much to the itching curiosity of fans and the industry.
Legal experts claimed the team of Soubin may move to the higher court for conditional travel permission. Until then, the actor has to stay in India and comply with the demands of investigation.
