How Rich Was Dheeraj Kumar: He was born as Dheeraj Kochar on 1st October 1944 and indeed created a legacy in the Indian entertainment industry spanning more than 50 years. His several serials like Om Namah Shivay, Shree Ganesh, and Adalat not only drew audiences across the country but also were largely responsible for shaping Indian TV content in its late 90s and early 2000s. The successful change of profession from actor to producer speaks of his adaptability in the face of change and sharp business acumen.

Dheeraj Kumar breathed his last on July 15, 2025, in Mumbai, due to pneumonia at the age of 79 years. His wife, Zuby Kochar, and son, Ashutosh Kumar, survive him.
