The Hard-to-End Franchise Success

With over $2 billion grossed worldwide, The Conjuring is not merely a horror brand; it is a box-office franchise. It has given rise to several spin-offs from Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema: Annabelle, The Nun, and The Curse of La Llorona. Given this success, it seems rather impossible to think that the studio would be considering closing shop entirely. Especially when Last Rites is touted as an ending to the Ed and Lorraine Warren story.

Is This “Final Case” for the Warrens?

Last Rites’ emotional resonance comes through implying that Ed and Lorraine’s most terrifying. And potentially last documented investigation is on screen.
