Lokah 2 Sequel Buzz: With Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra, Malayalam cinema has entered the superhero genre with a freshness no other film could boast. It features the upcoming Kalyani Priyadarshan along with a beautiful blend of myth, mystery, and modern storytelling, winning hearts from across the nation in no time. It’s crafted as a two-part franchise and the first part has already raised the bar and fans eager for whatever comes next.
The filmmakers have yet to make an official announcement. But the ending suggests quite strongly that there is going to be a Lokah 2 for sure. The biggest highlight is a cameo appearance by the popular Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas, who shot to stardom with Minnal Murali, and it is believed that his entry will be significant in the second chapter.
What the Post-Credit Scene Reveals
The final few minutes of the film tease a bigger universe. Charlie’s character sketch is just touched upon, raising questions about how significant he will be in the future. To spice up things, Dulquer Salmaan, who is also the producer of the production, makes a surprise appearance. Even so, the best of all is Tovino Thomas as Chathan. The goblin who helps Neeli and her friends escape Inspector Nachiyappa. His exit before the climactic battle implies that his tale is saved for the sequel.
More suspense is added with the post-credit sequence. An unidentified person questions Chathan about an unsuccessful archaeological expedition, the only proof being a goblin’s sighting. Cryptically, Chathan replies: It may be him or one of his 389 siblings. Making way for several potential plotlines in the next film. This is a good narrative framing device indicating that the sequel. Lokah 2 – may delve into Chathan’s origins while extending the supernatural realm conceived by the first part.
