K-Drama Heartthrob Rowoon to Enlist This October

Rowoon to Enlist Soon

Rowoon, the SF9 member-turned-actor known for his roles in Extraordinary You and The King’s Affection, is set to begin his mandatory military service. His enlistment marks a temporary pause in a rising acting career that has made him one of the most talked-about names in K-drama.

Reassessment Clears Him for Active Duty

Rowoon’s enlistment was initially scheduled for July 21 but was delayed after he received a Grade 7 classification during his first military physical. This required a re-examination, which he completed earlier this month. Following the reassessment, the Military Manpower Administration officially deemed him fit for active duty.

Rowoon Agency Confirms October 27 Enlistment

FNC Entertainment has now confirmed that Rowoon will begin his military service on October 27. The agency also announced that there will be no official event or public send-off on the day to avoid crowding at the site. They thanked fans for their continued support and asked them to respect Rowoon’s privacy on the day of enlistment.

One Final Drama Before Goodbye

Before heading off to serve, Rowoon will appear in one last drama ‘The Murky Stream’, a Disney+ original set to premiere on September 26. The historical series, which also stars Shin Ye-Eun and Park Seo-Ham, is already gaining attention. It will be Rowoon’s final acting project before his enlistment, making it a meaningful farewell for fans.

From Idol to Leading Actor

Rowoon debuted with SF9 in 2016 and began acting in School 2017. He quickly rose to fame through hits like Tomorrow, Destined with You, and The Matchmakers (2023). Though he’s stepping away for now, fans are confident that Rowoon’s star will shine even brighter once he returns from service.
