Kangana Ranaut is bringing back two of her most beloved characters. After a decade of standout performances, the actress is set to headline sequels to Queen and Tanu Weds Manu, both of which became defining films in her career. Queen won her a National Award and became a cult classic, while Tanu Weds Manu and its sequel proved she could deliver box office hits just as powerfully.
According to Pinkvilla, Queen 2 will go on floors in November 2025. Director Vikas Bahl returns to helm the sequel and is currently scouting locations in the UK. Much like the first part, the film will be set in both India and abroad, with London playing a central role. “The idea came from a strong script,” a source revealed. “The team is confident it can recapture the charm of the original.”
Once Queen 2 wraps, Kangana will shift gears to Tanu Weds Manu 3, directed by Anand L. Rai. Filming is expected to start in early 2026, after Rai completes his next project, Tere Ishk Mein. The third installment is expected to revisit the heartland setting with a fresh, emotional twist.
The film will see Kangana reunite with R. Madhavan, continuing their popular on-screen chemistry. Rumours suggest she’ll portray multiple shades in this installment, taking the story in a bold new direction while staying true to its quirky roots.
