In June this year, Sanjay Kapoor died of a heart attack. Since then, Karisma’s children have accused their stepmother Priya of cheating them to claim a share of their father’s property. They allege she showed them a fake will during a family meeting and has refused to share details or documents about the assets after their father’s death. The children have now moved court to secure their legal share.
Karisma’s children also claim that Priya deliberately hid Sanjay Kapoor’s original will and replaced it with a forged one. Meanwhile, Sanjay’s sister Mandira Kapoor alleged that Priya Sachdev and others forcibly took their mother’s signatures. This dispute has now become a major talking point. Reports suggest that Sanjay’s assets were worth around ₹30,000 crores at the time of his death.
