1. Manoj Kumar (1937-2025)

Known as “Bharat Kumar “the veteran actor-filmmaker Manoj Kumar died on April 4 due to chronic heart complications. He is hailed by his fans, the Indian cinema lovers, for his patriotic films such as Upkar and Shaheed.

2. Jay North (1951-2025)

The child actor well-loved from Dennis the Menace, Jay North succumbed to death on April 6 after battling colon cancer for some time. He was known for bringing joy to millions during the earlier years of his American pop culture nostalgic era.


3. Michelle Trachtenberg (1985-2025)

With major credits of Harriet the Spy and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Michelle died in New York on February 26. Her sudden demise at the young age of thirty-nine left many fans of the versatile and treasured actress mourning over her loss.

4. Gene Hackman (1930-2025)

Oscar winner Gene Hackman breathed his last when he was aged 95 years and passed on February 18. His career spanned decades of excellence in cinematic brilliance, of which the impressive titles are The French Connection and Unforgiven.

5. Kim Sae-ron (2000-2025)

The South Korean actress committed suicide on February 16, 2025, when she was a blooming child and teen actress. The K-drama industry was deeply shocked at her demise.

6. Val Kilmer (1959-2025)

Illness brought the death of the actor best known for Top Gun and Batman Forever on April 1. He was being afflicted by pneumonia. His daughter, Mercedes, confirmed his death while reminiscing how innovative and determined he was in spite of being ill.

7. Shefali Jariwala (1982-2025)

Famous through her chartbuster Kaanta Laga, Shefali Jariwala died on June 27 at the age of 42 in Mumbai, shocking avid fans of Indian pop culture.

8. Mukul Dev (1970-2025)

Actor Mukul Dev died on May 23 in New Delhi. He was 54 and known for his roles in Hindi and Punjabi cinema.

9. Kota Srinivas Rao (1943-2025)

It was on July 13 that veteran Telugu actor Kota Srinivas Rao passed away. His villainous and comic roles were never to be replaced by anybody, and he has left his footprints in South Indian cinema, which will remain forever.
