Kriti Sanon Confirmed for Cocktail 2

Kriti Sanon has officially joined the cast of Cocktail 2, the sequel to the 2012 hit film Cocktail. Director Homi Adajania confirmed her involvement via Instagram, sharing a monochrome photo of Kriti with a “Work In Progress” sticker on her face. He captioned the post with “@kritisanon  #Thescicilianchapter #Cocktail2,” hinting at a new and intriguing direction for the story.

The sticker also suggested that Kriti has already begun preparations for her role in the film.

Sequel Adds Rashmika and Shahid to the Mix

Kriti won’t be the only new face in the sequel. Rashmika Mandanna also reshared a similar post from Homi Adajania earlier, with her face hidden behind the same “Work In Progress” tag. According to reports, Shahid Kapoor will play the male lead, reuniting with Kriti after their 2024 romantic hit Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. With Rashmika added to the cast, Cocktail 2 promises a fresh dynamic between the leads.

Directed by Homi Adajania, Backed by Maddock Films

Homi Adajania, who directed the original Cocktail, returns to helm the sequel. Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films is backing the project, while Luv Ranjan has penned the script. The original Cocktail starred Deepika Padukone, Saif Ali Khan, and Diana Penty, and became a fan-favorite for its modern take on relationships.
