Labubu Paranormal connections: Labubu toys became extremely popular in recent years, especially across social media platforms. Labubu dolls have been spotted dangling off of celebrities. Now we’re going to talk about these dolls that have basically taken over the internet.
When Labubus first made their way onto everyone’s TikTok For You page, most of the people’s initial reaction was that they were kind of ugly, but also felt they kind of looked demonic.
What is the obsession with this toy? Why are grown adults attracted to this toy?
Labubu is a designer toy character dreamed up by Hong Kong illustrator Casting Lung. He launched Laboo Dolls in 2015. These dolls didn’t really start to become popular until just recently. They’re originally part of a series called The Monsters. Casting Lung is also known for creating other figures inspired by Nordic folklore.
Then very recently someone noticed something that had the labubu dolls once again resurfacing onto everyone’s For You page. And it’s very safe to say this is a very weird connection as there is an episode in The Simpsons, which we also know they are oddly always predicting the future. But in this episode, they featured a literal demon that goes by the name Pazuzu.
“It’s here. Maggie’s first pazu. Don’t worry, Maggie. While mommy and daddy carouse downstairs, you’ll be here in the dark with Pizuzu. Sweet dreams, Maggie. Don’t let the beetle pubs bite.” The simpson clip went on like this.
Pazuzu is one of the oldest known demons in history. He was called the king of demons, the bringer of famine, drought, and disease, and ruled over the southwest wind, a wind believed to carry sickness and death.
(Pazuzu on the 666 episode of Simpsons resembles the labubu doll).
Not just this weird connection with the Simpsons, there are several videos of people sharing how weird things were happening around them when these Labubu dolls were in their possession. On TikTok, people started sharing that these dolls are starting to cause some paranormal things to happen.
They say that the dolls follow them with their eyes when they’re walking around. They feel like an eerie presence. People are saying their anxiety gets high and other things; things being moved around, typical of demonic objects when you bring them into your house that cause all this paranormal activity to happen. Well, we know that Casting Lung was inspired by Nordic folklore. Let’s press into that a little bit more.
Nordic folklore is deeply intertwined with Norse mythology, which features a bunch of gods and goddesses like Odin, Thor, and Freyja. Originally, the talk of these gods and goddesses, as we know are false gods and false goddesses. They were passed down orally, but then they were later recorded in medieval manuscripts, providing a rich source of narratives about creation and the interactions between humans and the divine.
Okay, so that right there tells us so much, right? We have false Gods. We have Satan copying God’s manuscripts of the Bible with his own manuscripts, with his own narrative about creation, about people and the divine.
The Labubu doll also draws its inspiration particularly from the playful yet enigmatic elves, forest spirits, and kobolds. The root of these dolls; the inspiration of these dolls, the story behind these dolls, is spiritual. It’s not just a toy.
