Dulquer Salmaan has a big surprise for Malayalam audience on his birthday. The mass teaser of the film ‘Lokah – Chapter 1: Chandra’, produced by the actor, has now been released. The teaser of the film, which will feature a superhero character that has never been seen before in Malayalam cinema, has been completely embraced by Malayalam movie lovers. The main highlight of the teaser is Kalyani Priyadarshan’s mass fight and swag. There is also Nazlen. The film will hit the theatres for an Onam release.
Lokah Chapter one: Chandra – is a Malayalam superhero movie, which is the first part from a cinematic universe, produced by Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films. The film stars Kalyani Priyadarshan and Naslen in the lead roles. The story is set in a post-apocalyptic world and follows Chandra’s (kalyani Priyadarshan’s) journey as she discovers her powers and fights against dark spirits.
The 1-minute 29-second teaser starts off on a dark visual on the full moon night, with a focus on an incomplete multi-storey building. We see Naslen next, who looks stunned as he notices something on top of another building. Hints of futuristic and mystical backgrounds are seen after this. A tracking shot shows us a woman walking into a water cave, followed by Kalyani as Chandra. We next catch glimpses of a little girl with a dog, both running in a forest. Naslen’s voiceover continues, “I believed these were just myths,” and we see shots of him with Kalyani.
The teaser cuts to a combination of futuristic and medieval images before another voiceover. A small child this time, asks in awe, “Are you saying that Chandra is a superhero? Following is a sequence of action-packed scenes with Kalyani fighting an army in a clearly dystopian landscape.The fantasy movie is going to be a visual treat like never seen before in Malayalam cinema.”.
